Recognizing Depression:
Do you or someone close to you have depression?Depression is often mistaken for feeling "down", or stressed or sad. Depression is different from these statements because depression is a constant state of mind, of being sad, stressed, pessimistic and simply just feeling "down".
If depression is not treated as soon as possible there can be consequences so it is best if it is treated properly.
In order for that to happen, you must know if you or the person has depression.
Depression should be recognized immediatley since it can lead to some dangerous things, so its best that you try to treat it as soon as possible.

It’s easy to say you are depressed, but can you define depression? Many people can be stressed and get headaches although these are symptoms of depression, it’s not necessarily depression. Depression is a feeling that you get when you feel like to be alone, something unexpected has happened and you feel trapped, your head feels heavy, the world seems as if it’s trying to oppose you. Although everyone experiences depression differently this is how it might feel, you may feel differently. Depression can be caused by unexpected events, life not going your way or just too much on your plate. This is why you need to learn to adapt to the world around you and stay open-minded. Many people who are depressed don’t even know they are. This maybe caused to the fact that they are not informed about it in advance or simply just ignore it. Symptoms you should watch out for are:
Symptoms of depression:
- Constant sadness, or feeling down
-Lack of energy
-breaking ties with family and friends
- unable to concentrate
-moodswings
-rapid weight loss, or weight gain
-odd sleep patterns
- feeling guilty or worthless
-over stressed
-non-medical aches or paines
-pessimistic
-thoughts of death or suicide
-low self-esteem
-self-harm or inflicting pain on themselves
-Unhealthy eating habits
